In summer 2022, the Official Spanish Association of Professional Geologists (ICOG) joined the Observatory as a new member.
The ICOG was established in 1978. Its basic aims are the management, within its competence, of the activity or practice of the profession of geology; and the exclusive representation and advocacy of professional geologists. ICOG organises a general assembly and conference annually and workshops occasionally, and regularly prepares documents for national authorities in order to promote the recognition of the profession.
The membership application has been unanimously approved by the INTRAW Board and we are glad to welcome ICOG on board!
